Iawn Care

Always Prepared

 M. A. Mitchell- Professional Horticulture And Care, feeding of lawns is all inclusive

Feeding lawns and killing weeds and moss in the lawn. Stimulates grass growth to cover bare areas, left by dead moss.

Lawn feed requirements

There are three main minerals required for lawn growth: Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Other minerals are also required but in smaller quantities.

Nitrogen is required for leaf growth and thus is an essential aspect of feeding the lawn. The lawn will be a healthy looking deep green colour when there is sufficient Nitrogen. Nitrogen should be applied when the grass is producing new growth, i.e. spring and and summer time.

Phosphorus is required for root development. A lawn with a poor root system is far more susceptible to stressful conditions such as drought, disease and pests. Because of this Phosphorus is an essential ingredient when feeding your lawn.

Pruning

Attention to Detail

wether it be fruit tree pruning, roses, wisteria, no job is beyond us, also feeding comes as standard and always done with razor sharp secateurs. I use the Japanese okasune secateurs as the metal has a hardeness of 7.0 and is razor sharp, only sharpened with a leather wheel.

Apple and pear trees trained as free-standing bushes are best pruned every winter to ensure a good cycle of fruiting wood. Trees that are not pruned become less productive and congested with old branches. The aim is to create an open goblet shape with a framework of four to five main branches.

Roses

English Roses are naturally vigorous and if left without pruning may become large and leggy shrubs. The main purpose of pruning is to create a shapely, attractive shrub, with good structure. This process also encourages fresh new growth. Feeding is essential and all taken care of as they should be.

Feeding

Expert Service

feeding for blooms, aslo is necessary and comes as standard

When it comes to planting flowers, you know that you need the right soil, sun, and watering techniques.

Most gardeners think that is enough. However, plants often need a little something extra.

Nitrogen (N) is there to promote healthy foliage (leaves). You also need Phosphate or Phosphorus (P), which stimulates the root system and helps it become stronger. Potash or Potassium (K) is necessary for fruit and flower formation.
